Origin of the Breed
Al though it is usually thought as a miniature dobermann, the Zwerginscher or miniature Pinscher has lived in Germany - its home country - for more than three centuries, far beyond dobermanns were created. Its fame grew up at the dogs expositions at the beginning of the Fwentieth Century and the breed arrived in America succesfully.
It is a very small, strayght haired dog. Its behaviour is firm and decided, it is always watchful as a good guardian. Because of its short brilliant hair Zwerginscher only needs little care. It adapts itself to live in small places.
It has got an excellent bone frame, a compact body and strong muscles. It walks gracefully and lively. Its head is long, with a powerful mouth and strong teeth which close as scissors. Its deep dark eyes give this animal an intelligent, lively and attentive expression.
It ears are sharp when they are cut and its tail sprouts high and strong. Its short dense hair is regularly distributed along its whole body.
